Fernley 9/11 Memorial to be held at fire station

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

Once in danger of being canceled, the Fernley 9/11 Memorial ceremony will be held this year at the North Lyon County fire station on Main St.

The annual event, held at the Out-of-Town Park, was in danger of being canceled because city facilities are closed to large gatherings.

However, the North Lyon County Fire Protection District will be hosting the ceremony inside the fire station. Parking for the event will be in the rear of the building.

The event will begin at 10 a.m., and all attendees must wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
