Community Thanksgiving Dinner to be served at Senior Center

The Fernley Reporter

The 6th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fernley Senior Center at 1170 W. Newlands Dr.

This free event came from the inspiration of a then 10-yearr old, Sarah Jean Gleason, who felt that everyone should feel part of a family on Thanksgiving. This dinner is open to all ages and circumstance.

The dinner is sponsored by the Fernley Rotary (also donating the turkeys) but the event is truly a community event.
