The Nevada Veterans Coalition will conduct its fifth Missing in America Project mission at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery [NNVMC] by honoring 27 veterans whose remains have been in the care of a local mortuary, yet remained unclaimed.
Services will be conducted with full military honors for the following 27 veterans at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22 at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way, in Fernley.
Nevada Veterans Coalition is donating its bus and driver to carry the cremains which will be escorted by members of the coalition in conjunction with the Missing in America Project, followed by various participating veteran focused organizations.
A procession will depart at noon from the Alamo in Sparks to the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery for the Full Honors Service beginning at 2 p.m. The procession will exit I-80 at Exit 46 in West Fernley and will proceed down Main St. to the cemetery.
